Chatter

Had to buy a new headset, since I broke the one sent by the tech people within three days of arriving. Really useless shop assistant, so I just went for the only Logitech headset they had. Don't know why I thought of the brand, perhaps because the camera is the same.

Totally Unnecessary Purchase

[Shoes] Croc Casuals

They are not the most fashionable, but if you dress up a bit, these comfortable evolution of the flip-flops are a blessing!

In Thailand, the Croc Shop is on the 4th Floor of Siam Center (BTS Siam, next to Siam Paragon).

Since I usually carry a black tote or the LV Neverfull when doing the grocery/ errands/ malling, I decided to get these two to match:

Chanel Cosmétique

While I have been using Dior for ten years, I have never actually tried Chanel make-up beyond lipsticks and lipgloss (perfume is another matter).

But I stumbled on a make-up blog and I was inspired to start playing with face cake again. I went back to my Chanel SA, and she was more than happy to finally sell me on their wide range of powder and foundation. I am happy with this conversion... it might even inspire me to convert from PC to Mac...

Because of my spots and uneven skin colouring, I was looking for something that is full-coverage, and the SA suggested the reflective property of Chanel Pro Lumière Makeup will help my skin:

She showed me how to use just a bit (it is soooo silky...) on key parts of my face and then finish it off with Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder

Then she offered to do the whole look, and I liked how it looks -and feel on the skin! - so I decided to get everything she used on my face:

Chanel Irreelle Ombre Multi-Effects Eyeshadow which just made my eyes light up

and Chanel Exceptionnel Intense Volume and Curl Mascara which gave me the best lashes! And I am a mascara girl - I have all from Maybelline and the Japanese silicon one, to Mac, to Estee Lauder to Diorshow.... but this is now my everyday mascara!

My lips were filled in with Chanel Nude Lip Definer Pencil

topped off with Chanel Levres Scintillantes Lip-gloss. I bought two, one in nude and a darker shade.

The best though was the Chanel Aqualumiere! It is the best lipgloss I have ever had, so I even went back the next day and picked up three more tubes:

And just because I fancy that I would be able to learn how to "sculpt", I also got a Soleil Silky Bronzing Powder:

[Bags] Hysterical

I am a big fan of Gucci, but the first time I saw the Hysteria line, I felt more deflated than hysterical. I knew I will be waiting for the next season.

This line though is not about the look, but the feel of the material. Touching the soft, soft, exquisite leather that makes you think of lame fabric than thick hide. I still don't like the look, and I think it's too delicate for my lifestyle, but I can full understand if this line gets its own loyal fans.

I really love it's everyday elegance. First time I had a lambskin bag so I am a bit mindful about using this. It can carry so much and still keep its slouchy shape. Love the hardware details! Now I remember why we spend a lot of money on designer bags ... it's in the details!

Bought a pair of these in-the-ear bling on a whim today. Sound quality is amazing. They work well blocking out the noise of the trainer-clad fanny pack-totting loud tourist, but all that glass is heavy and needs getting used to.

Clutch with a Punch

I thought it was absolutely funny when I found this on Net-a-Porter! I will make a line of inlaid shoes and call it "Imelda".

I wonder why the name though... is he the most popular Philippine export now? Or is it that the bag has such a punch? Ok sorry, I just woke up, I am not as witty as I hoped!

If I were his wife (or his supposed, ahem, "lady friends") I will have this as my signature bag....
